Lucy Kalantari has been writing songs for over a decade in Brooklyn, New York, but it was only when her son Darius was born in 2014 that she decided to turn to writing songs for families with her first album, Pockets Full Of Joy. Since then, she has made three albums and has garnered two Grammy wins and her most recent album, "What Kind Of World?" featuring SaulPaul and Jazzy Ash was released last September.
Here in my interview, originally recorded in July 2021, we talk about her songwriting journey, how she made Lucy Kalantari and the Jazz Cats, and how much she likes my fave science podcast, Wow In The World!!!
