|| What contribution can I make in this moment? ||

In 𝐄𝐩𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐝𝐞 𝟏𝟎𝟎 of the #ReadswithRosaPodcast, I sit down for a chat with Alicia D Williams. As an Author, she has won awards and honors for her books:  Genesis Begins Again (novel), Shirley Chisholm Dared: The Story of the First Black Woman in Congress (picture book), Jump At The Sun: The True Life Tale of Unstoppable Storycatcher Zora Neal Hurston (picture book), and The Talk (picture book), and as an Educator and Master Teaching Artist, she shares her passion for drama, movement and storytelling to inspire learners to write. According to her students, she is ~ DA BOMB, funny, AND bodacious!!

Tune in as we talk about everything from banned books, colorism, self-validation, audiobooks, advice for writers, speaking ‘proper English’ and the ways in which we uphold language standards that are connected to colonialism, when black parents have to give their children ‘The Talk’, being a published writer and navigating the literary world, and so much more.
