This week on the #ReadswithRosaPodcast I sit down for a chat with Anna Siafolau who is living and working in Japan an ALT on the Jet Programme. She shares her story and gives us some insight into her experiences thus far as a young adult learning how to navigate this big country and find her place in the world.Anna is also one half of the awesome online platform called #pacificislandersabroadinjapan, which she runs with her friend Faith. Their purpose is ‘to connect Pacific Islanders, build community, provide a space to share personal experiences and advice of folx currently living in Japan (as well as those who formerly lived here) to others who are new to the country, as well as considering coming over. Most importantly, it’s a way to show our families / ‘āiga / whānau back in our motherlands that we are indeed surviving and thriving while away from home’.
