We chat about her writing, her Chamorro and Korean roots, collaboration with her talented artist brother Sonny Chargualaf, and the work that authors Lani Wendt Young and Sisilia Eteuati are doing to uplift other Pasifika writers through Tatou Publishing. Tanya is also a Middle Grade teacher so I was very excited to discuss teacher life with her, as well as the work she is doing around promoting the importance of Diversity, Equity and Identity at her school and in the classroom.
