In June 2007, WWE called for a wellness check on one of their wrestlers, Chris Benoit, after he missed multiple events he was due to appear at, without giving any notice. After entering the Benoit residence, police discover the bodies of Chris, his wife Nancy and their 7 year old son, Daniel. His death shocked the wrestling community and would raise serious questions about the wrestler's health and wellbeing, in and out of the ring.
