As we grow older and take more control of our mental and physical health, the connection between the two becomes more and more obvious.
On this week’s episode, I got to speak with a good friend who is pursuing a career in naturopathic medicine - a path which she’s faced judgement for but has also taught her how to prioritize her own feelings and to trust her gut rather than the opinions of others.
This mind-body connection is something that the field puts extra emphasis on, and is where she gained her perspective on how to support all aspects of health. We discuss nutrition and using food as medicine, the importance of balance when it comes to discipline and indulgence, and the links between gut health and mental health which are often overlooked.
