With outside becoming a little less cozier than inside, I’m looking for some encouragement to enjoy the outdoors year-round. If you’re in the same boat, then you’re going to love today’s conversation.
This week’s guest has dedicated his life to helping people experience the positive effects of nature. His story begins with a departure from city life to pursue a career in leading treks on some of the world’s biggest mountains and most beautiful bodies of water.
After learning a little about his career and what pushed him to continue pursuing such an untraditional path, we dug into some of his learnings from his travels, and from watching people experience nature with vulnerability.
Through his stories, we learn about the importance of leaving your comfort zone, and using silence to better understand yourself and others. We also touch on the modern tendency to have salary and productivity be tied to your identity, and how when everything is stripped away, you might just realize that those things aren’t as important as they seem.
