Non-christian ideas of “Heaven and Hell” have influenced Christians to think about these ideas more than Resurrection. We need to explore what is meant by resurrection in the Bible and how it connects to God’s ideas of justice and putting the world right again. Many theologies of “afterlife” don’t conquer death, but rather just side-step it. When Christians have a bad view of “life after death” it makes them worse at living “life before death”.
