For Episode 218 of our award-winning podcast, we’re all about baseball, and frankly, I’m surprised we don’t talk more about baseball on our little writers podcast.
We went to Game 3 of the Athletics home opener in West Sacramento, and we joined a few thousand of our close friends as they took on our Chicago Cubs. It was a three-day celebration of Rickey Henderson, the Man of Steal, whose accomplishments and personality transcended the sport. So much love for the Rickey!
We have been true-blue Cubs fans since the 1980s. We talk about our own Northside experiences and our time in Sutter Health Field.
It wasn’t all baseball. We spent time with family and we visited the Capital Books in downtown Sacramento. We had fun talking about writing with folks who don’t write (authors will get this).
