In today’s reading of Tyndale’s OYCSB (with featured content written by the CBT team),
- Writing to the church in Ephesus, Paul shifts from instruction to believing Jews and Gentiles to an address for all of them as one in Christ. Instead of categorizing people into the two previous groups, now he specifies two ways to live—as fools and as wise.
- The remainder of Ephesians details the wise life in Christ as one people.
- To the Colossians, Paul similarly writes. Intending that this letter also be read to the church at Laodicea, Paul sends Tychicus and Onesimus with a message of encouragement and strength found only in faith in Christ so the young churches will be protected from the many false teachers attempting to enslave those who are willing to be distracted from the truth of the gospel.
