In today’s reading of Tyndale’s OYCSB (with featured content written by the CBT team),
- Evaluation is a part of God’s character. God evaluates all things according to the standard of His word. So we may know Him intimately, understand what He says about Himself, and live in relationship with Him, God requires us to evaluate the work we steward in His name. Moses models this evaluation mandate as He inspects the tabernacle work.
- God demonstrates His approval of the people’s work and accepts Israel’s invitation for His dwelling among them.
- God desires to be close to them. He loves them. He knows what lies ahead for them. Living in their midst, God acts to prepare them for the hard times He knows are coming.
