- The seriousness of sin must not be understated, ignored, or lessened. In order for Holy God to live among His people, His covenant terms must be adhered to. On the Mountain, God gives Moses stewardship of Israel’s requirements as covenant members.
- These offerings allow Israel to understand their desperate need for continual forgiveness. They also teach the people that God is for them. He wants nothing more than for them to succeed.
- This sacrificial system will be sufficiently fulfilled in Christ. However, these laws will preserve a people for the Lord until the Messiah comes.
