- What is dedicated to the Lord is the Lord's. It will belong under the covering of the Levite's stewardship--unless the giver redeems the offering. If this is the case, the monetary offering of redemption must add to the offering's value.
- The first census is taken. God raises up a nation through whom He will show His glory--His righteousness and His wrath. The size of the Israelite army is impressive. God does not want His people to fear their task at hand.
