Jacob doesn’t realize it yet, but God will not allow him to enjoy the blessings of his inheritance without being confronted with his lack of faith. God will be with him for more than just protection and blessing. God will expose his character and transform him into a humble faith-walker.
- The schemer with a wake of destructiveness behind him finds himself in the wake of another schemer. The result is one of the most dysfunctional family dynamics imaginable. However, God is faithful in the midst of brokenness to keep His promise to Abraham—descendants as numerous as the dust on the earth.
