In today’s reading of Tyndale’s OYCSB (with featured content written by the CBT team),
- Moses reminds Israel's next generation of God's crucial acts among them:
- Joshua has witnessed the power of Creator God fighting for Israel's army. He is not to fear the Canaanites...or any nation for that matter.
- Joshua will lead the people to take the land of promise. Moses' response to the first generation's disobedience will prevent him from entering the land with them.
- The Hebrew Scriptures are unique among all human fabricated religious documents. God spoke His terms of His covenant with Israel in the hearing of the entire nation. They must be careful to obey the laws given to them. The Hebrew law is not made up from the imagination of man.
- God's law is good. God desires that His people flourish. It will be through their flourishing that God declares His great Name to the nations.
