In today’s reading of Tyndale’s OYCSB (with featured content written by the CBT team), We encounter three stories of faith, and two of them show the faith of those outside of the Promised Land. Jesus again demonstrates His compassion and feeds thousands, pressing in on the disciples’ struggle to trust and expect Him to meet people’s needs. Jesus’ compassion is contrasted by the deceptive teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees, and Jesus intends for the disciples to overcome their insecurities.
