I think we spend a lot of time agonizing over who isn't supporting us so much so that we forget that we are not supporting us. I think we've been socially conditioned to read other people supporting us as a statement of our value and worth, and so when we don't get the support from people in our lives, it becomes a message in our own minds that we are unworthy.
As women, we have been socially conditioned to prioritize showing up for other people, and being the "good girl". This is why this convo matters. Showing up starts with you.
