Born and raised in New Jersey and a self-proclaimed true moon child, meaning a Libra Sun, Cancer Moon, and Cancer Rising, Joyce Tsang, founder of Shop Stone and Star, moved to Hong Kong by way of Los Angeles and Ohio. Always being a bit of a non-conformist and living a bit off the beaten path, Joyce was always encouraged to follow her heart, and believes everything happens for a reason.
Having experience in multiple industries from IT consulting in finance, merchandising for a high street fashion label, to promoting parties in Hollywood, and even event photography through photobooths she invented- it was a trip to Sedona in 2017 for her sister’s “spa-chelorette celebration”, which jumpstarted this reconnection and remembering of her Self. Crystals, Cards, and Astrology all began to fall quickly into place in her own spiritual journey— though it began with a single stone.
Stone & Star (IG @shopstoneandstar) was founded to share the beauty and wonders of crystals and the cosmos, which, according to Joyce, can become allies in our own journeys of healing, finding inner peace, and happiness. On her Instagram Joyce shares tips on how to listen and tune into the stones’ own inner wisdom and energies, a kind of work that Joyce hopes to create a bridge between these stones and crystals and those wanting to work with the stones to reclaim and reconnect with their personal power, gifts, and natural talents - so that we as individuals may live more aligned lives with our Selves and our true life path.
