In this episode, the calculation of pipe flotation (in a concrete encasement pour) is explained. This allows the Contractor to design adequate tiedown for each stick of pipe. Estimation is an important and a high level skill, but knowing the math behind it and being able to analyze this gives the Contractor a greater understanding and will prevent construction mishaps.
