Songs are a wonderful expression of the innermost feelings of the soul. Every Sunday morning, whenever we go into a house of prayer, one of the Integral parts of the service is That time when the whole atmosphere is filled with praise and worship songs that lift our hearts and fill our souls. In the book of Psalms, number 137, we learned of a dilemma that the children of God faced. They were in a very hard and difficult place in their spiritual journey. They were captives in the land of Babylon. It was there that they were required to sing Zion’s songs. Their response to that: how can we sing Zions songs in a strange land…A land of captivity and bondage? If you are in bondage today, to sin, to depression, to abuse, To sickness or disease, or for any other reason, sometimes it’s very hard to sing. While that is true, singing can be your breakthrough.
