This week is all about trying to get started in the fitness industry 💪🏻
Either finding your first workplace or finding your first clients
Gemma came on yesterday & shared her steps on how she got started as an international fitness coach and running a successful international personal training qualification company
Today though I want to give you 5 tips as an employer on what we would be looking for in a potential employee 👉🏼
1️⃣ Perfect your CV - When you hand in your CV, make sure it's up to date! We want to see your most recent relevant jobs and not every single job you have ever done. Plus, please make sure your cover letter isn't generic. Make sure you refer to the actual job you're applying for.
2️⃣ Dress appropriately - Make sure whatever you're wearing is appropriate for the job. For a PT role - smart casual. Bear in mind you might be demonstrating what you can do.
3️⃣ Do your research - We want you to have already looked us up and have a good idea of what we do. Make sure you know who you're coming to talk to. Look at their social media, their website and know all about the business. Show us you care!
4️⃣ Study the job description - make bullet points for possible question answers. Talk to them about their job description - show them you know the role and why you are suitable for all of the important skills & traits they are looking for.
5️⃣ Show them what you can do - maybe the interview didn't go so well. Offer to get out there and demonstrate your skills. Not everyone interviews well but if you have the skills then why not show them!
So those were 5 tips I would give anyone out there looking for a job from a business like mine
Show them you really do care about the position, take the time and effort to do the research
