Timeout, pause, and rest all aim to achieve the same goal, the only difference being the length of time involved, which can range from a few minutes to extended periods.  As with the English proverb, “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.”, a productivity-obsessed life can make you forget to take time out to relax, breathe, and recharge, which if not taken seriously can be detrimental to mental and physical health.

Personal timeouts can take many forms, such as exercise, meditation, hobbies, or simply taking a walk, and they can be adapted to fit individual needs and preferences.
