I was honored to be the director of Joannes's first solo show, The Girl Who Jumped Off The Hollywood Sign, which won the inaugural Made In Adelaide Award and the Holden Street Theatres’ Award in the 2017 Adelaide Fringe. The show then traveled to Hollywood, where it won the Producers’ Encore Award, the TVolution Platinum Medal, the Combined Artist & Fringe Management ‘Pick Of The Fringe’, Better Lemon’s Critics Choice Award, and the TVolution Best Solo Show (Female) Award and was nominated for a host of other awards. The girl who jumped toured to the 2017 Edinburgh Fringe where further accolades propelled her towards New York City, home to much acclaim in the Adelaide Cabaret Festival, and back again to Edinburgh in 2018. The show premiered in Sydney in September 2019 and returned to Adelaide once more in 2020.
