A former school teacher, Pete made the decision to "take the leap" and pursue a dream and love for coffee.
Founded in 2018 by Pete, Octeine (pronounced "Oc-teen”), is a coffee company with a difference.
Octeine aims to encourage and inspire people to get outside and enjoy life. Pete loves the outdoors and living an active lifestyle and thus Octeine is a representation of this.
At Octeine they roast their own speciality coffee beans and bring them to market either in any of the Octeine cafes (61 King William Street, Kent Town - if you’re in South Australia) or online.
An avid runner and lover of the ocean, Pete is always looking to get involved and live life to its fullest. In 2020, Pete created and completed a 100km fundraising run for bushfire relief, raising close to $10,000 for grape growers and winemakers in the Adelaide Hills wine region.
Pete is an all-around friendly guy who loves a chat and getting to know other people and a little later this year, he is launching his latest muse - "Humbled: The Series”, a podcast about human behaviour and how we react throughout "humbling life experiences". Born through curiosity for human behaviour and resilience, humbled features guests from everyday life who share their humbling stories.
