A wonderful conversation with Sarah Williams covering the journey of a career in the performing arts space, becoming a parent, and discovering the inner-belief and confidence to say, “Yes! I can do this!”.
Sarah is a qualified performing arts teacher, who has lived and
breathed the theatre life since she could talk. She has a Bach Arts Hons (major in Drama and Dance) and a Grad Dip in Teaching, as well as her Associate Diploma in Classical Ballet with the Australian Institute of Classical Dance.
Sarah has worked in many quality Adelaide schools including Wilderness and Westminster, as well as performing arts schools Theatre Bugs and Mighty Good Talent.
Some of her adult career highlights include touring Adelaide and Victoria with The Wiggles touring cast (2003-2004), starting her own dance school in the Flinders Ranges, and choreographing for theatre companies around Adelaide. Her most recent shows are “Saturday Night Fever” and “We Will Rock You” for Matt Byrne Media, and “Kinky Boots” and “Evita” for the Gilbert and Sullivan Society.
Film credits include a dancing extra on “Singh is King”, a Bollywood blockbuster filmed in Mumbai, and most recently an infected viral zombie on the Australian film “Cargo”.
In 2017 she founded the theatre company The Gemini Collective.
She is currently the Performing Arts teacher at Allenby Gardens Primary School and continues to dance as part of Dance Alive’s Ballet Company.
