Daily Devotion with Pastor Balla – April 23, 2025: Behold, Behemoth! (Job 40:15–19)
In today’s devotion, Pastor Balla reflects on Job 40:15–19 (ESV), where God presents Behemoth—an awe-inspiring creature of unmatched strength—as a reminder of His unmatched power and sovereign design. Whether one sees Behemoth as a dinosaur or another great beast, the truth remains: God made it, just as He made Job.
“Behold, Behemoth, which I made as I made you…” (Job 40:15, ESV). In this line, God draws a connection between His creation of man and beast, underscoring His authority over both. The Behemoth, massive and powerful, is still subject to God’s control. It cannot be tamed by man, but it lives within the boundaries God has set.
This passage calls us to humility. If the Lord governs the most untamable forces of nature, surely He governs our lives too. In suffering or uncertainty, we can take comfort in knowing that God’s power is never outmatched and His care never absent.
