In today’s Daily Devotion with Pastor Balla, we turn to Ecclesiastes 9:11–12 and reflect on the unpredictability of life. Solomon observes that success is not always granted to the swift, the strong, or the wise—because “time and chance happen to them all.” In a fallen world, even the most gifted are vulnerable to sudden trials and unforeseen events.
Yet this is not a call to despair, but to faith in God’s providence. We are not left to fate or chaos. Our lives are not ruled by luck, but lovingly governed by the Lord who has redeemed us through Christ. In the face of life’s uncertainties, we are invited to trust in God’s promises, not our own planning.
Let go of the anxious burden of control. Entrust your days to the hands of the crucified and risen Savior.
