Welcome to Daily Devotion with Pastor Balla for October 2, 2025. Today we reflect on Psalm 22:6–8, where David laments: “But I am a worm and not a man, scorned by mankind and despised by the people.” These verses capture the depths of humiliation and shame, fulfilled most perfectly in Jesus Christ on the cross. As He suffered, the crowd mocked Him with the very words of this psalm: “He trusts in the Lord; let Him deliver Him.” Here we see the depth of Christ’s humility and the cost of our redemption. He bore our shame, mockery, and rejection so that we might be honored as God’s children. This devotion offers Christian encouragement, daily Bible study, Gospel-centered reflection, and spiritual growth by pointing us to the Savior who endured scorn and was vindicated through the resurrection.
