Description

This week, we pit two disciples against one another. Judas is portrayed as a greedy man, and the most infamous traitor in all of history. He was a nobleman, and Jesus trusted him with the money bag. Yet, it seems that everyone knew Judas was shifty. That same shiftiness would ultimately result in his own demise. However, we often give Peter a pass. He denied Jesus as Jesus was led from trial to trial. It's even said that they met eyes when Peter denied him the third time. Peter seemed to have an unpredictable streak. He cut off the ear of a temple guard trying to defend Jesus, and he consistently showed his temper throughout the Gospels and Acts. We'll take a close look at each of these men's betrayals, and end at what we can learn from Judas' betrayal and death.
