The holiday season is upon us. For many, this is NOT the most wonderful time of the year. As we are rebuilding our lives after abuse, holidays can be painful reminders of what we’ve lost. In this episode I share some tips that have helped me navigate painful family dynamics for the past 25 years. I encourage maintaining healthy habits, setting a realistic budget, blessing those in need, enforcing low/no contact with abusive people, surrounding yourself with safe people and focusing on traditions and foods that matter to you and your kids.
