What's up, cousins! Thank you for joining us for another edition of thee family tree podcast. It's officially summer, y'all! In this episode, co-hosts Ashley and Kimar discuss cookout culture in Black families and its evolution in recent years. We discuss the impact of African American cuisine in the greater society with a special shoutout to the dishes that make our personal family gatherings memorable. In this episode, we also find it important to discuss health and wellness. African American families have historically been disproportionately impacted by diseases and conditions brought on by some of the foods and portions we eat around the dinner table. While we celebrate cookout culture, we also want to encourage you to take back your health and wellness.

"What runs in your family, doesn't have to stay in your family." We need you to survive. #stayrooted
