We talk about how my dissertation helped shape my practice, the way trauma is stored in the body, Cartesian dualism as a detriment to understanding trauma, the work of Louise Bourgeoise, Yayoi Kusama, Doris Salcedo, and, of course, me, and the final "conclusion" I reached as to whether the use of childhood trauma in one's artistic practice serves as a cathartic method of processing said events, or if it merely renders the artist's past inescapable.
