Welcome back to Season 2 of Book Buddies! We're so happy to welcome you back to our podcast! This season we will be reading the critically acclaimed 2017 novel Borne by Jeff Vandermeer. In 8 episodes, we will read together a post-apocalyptic story about giant flying bears, scavenging for alien space anemones, and the special relationships that form when you least expect it.
The book is written in entries instead of chapters, so we will be telling you the names of what to read instead of the chapters. Episode 1 starts with What I Found and How I Found It and ends with What Wick Had Told Me About the Fish Project and the Company. We are so excited to be back, and as always, we hope you have as much fun reading with us as we do with you!
CW: This book deals with some difficult topics, including a pretty tough scene involving torture in episode 2. I would say overall, season 1 was more difficult, but we just wanted to give you guys a heads up! We promise to lighten things up as best we can after things get dark.
