In the past, Crake has a "hypothetical" scenario to share with Jimmy, our Queen Bernice makes, sadly, her final appearance, and we finally find out the fate of Jimmy's Mom. In the present, Snowman reaches the compound, hides from a tornado, is hunted by pigoons, and gets an unfortunate injury. He also gets an interesting signal, which may point to the future.
