Description

Born in Canberra, Bob Beadman joined the Commonwealth Public Service at 16 years of age and devoted his entire life to the public service, a total of 47 years.

What makes Bob particularly unique is that he has worked for both the Commonwealth and the Northern Territory under both Liberal and Labor governments. He spent the majority of his career in Aboriginal matters.

With his wealth of experience, Bob has a lot to say about the public service as well as indigenous issues. He also headed up the Territory’s representation at the Commonwealth Grants Commission. His insight into Darwin-Canberra relations is instructive.

This is Bob’s Territory Story.
