Louisa Kinnear was born in Perth to parents were both PhDs in Zoology. Her father was originally from Edmonton, Canada, but moved to Perth to study marsupials.
Louisa didn’t quite follow in her parents’ footsteps. Instead she chartered her own course, first obtaining an Arts degree majoring in English from the University of Western Australia and later an MBA from the same institution.
Louisa started in the utilities sector and then moved from water to power. In 2019 she was offered an opportunity to come to Darwin to head up Jacana Energy as Executive Director in Sales and Marketing. A year later, Louisa was appointed CEO. This is Louisa’s Territory Story.
