Born in Mt Barker in the Adelaide Hills, Simon Watts came to the Territory as a four year old to the Aboriginal settlement of Numbulwar where his dad took up a job running the local general store.
Simon’s life was idyllic; hunting, fishing and generally spending life outdoors with his older brother. His adventures included sinking in a dinghy in croc infested waters as an eight year old and being rescued by his brother.
He eventually moved to Darwin and started in sales at the old Chandlers. After a few years he was convinced to move into real estate where he enjoyed eight years in the industry before deciding to take a couple of years away from real estate to live in Bright, Victoria, where he learned to ski.
He’s now back in the business and his passion is selling property using Openn negotiation - a platform similar to EBay where buyers bid for property online. His properties currently average 17 days on market.
Simon shares his life and his passion for realestate on this episode of Territory Story.
