Daniel Fletcher is CEO of the Litchfield Shire Council.
Originally from Melbourne, Daniel grew up in Brisbane, played cricket and Aussie Rules, and obtained degrees in criminology and psychology from Griffiths University. As part of the course he undertook a year of study abroad in Slovenia and France.
After spending a few years working in the criminal justice system, Daniel took up a position as an explosives expert in Emerald working in the coal mines. He then transitioned into local government and has been working in this sector ever since.
Daniel took up the position of CEO of the Litchfield Council in 2019. He lives in Virginia with his wife and new baby and loves the Top End lifestyle.
