Meet Ali Dhirani and Manfred Mletsin.
They are the founders and owners of SAMAF an accounting firm in Darwin, Australia.
Ali is from Pakistan and grew up in Tanzania. Manfred is from Estonia. They both met at Charles Darwin University where they were overseas students studying accounting.
In the middle of the pandemic last year, these entrepreneurs decided to start up their accounting practice. One of their first contracts was to help people earning $60,000 or less to file tax returns at no cost. This was done under a grant from CDU in collaboration with the Australian Taxation Office.
In addition to this, SAMAF is proving accounting students with valuable work experience.
Ali and Manfred epitomise why Australia benefits so much migrants. This is their Territory Story.
