Sometimes in life, really bad things happen. Then at other times, you can be the recipient of profoundly good luck. In both situations, you may really have had no control over the circumstances. This is Angie’s story. Angie was born out of wedlock in a country and at a time where society did not look kindly on the situation. So her parents (who subsequently did get married), put her up for adoption at an orphanage. Angie stayed there until she was three years old, being none the wiser of her story. Then a piece of good fortune turned her life around forever. An Australian family stationed in Malaysia as part of Australia’s airforce contingent, adopted Angie. She was subsequently raised in Darwin and grew up not knowing her biological family including a younger sister. Angie tells her story and he challenges in finding out about her past, as well as the successful business she started in the Territory.
