This is Matthew Isabella.
Born in Mareeba in Queensland, Matt, grew up on a peanut farm. At the age of three his mum and Matt decided he was going to become a lawyer.
Whilst other tennage kids had posters of rockstars and celebrities on their walls of their bedrooms, Matt, had printed out the US Supreme Court decision in Brown v The Board of Education and had that plastered all over his bedroom wall.
He was obsessed with becoming a commercial litigator, so much so that after finishing high school he got a scholarship to go to Bond University to study law. He finished in two and a half years and wasn’t even 20 years of age when he graduated.
Next stop was New York City. He took the Bar exam and passed first time without any tutoring. Then he landed a job at Clifford Chance, whose offices were at the World Trade Center.
His first day of work was 11 September 2001…
