Ken Vowles is part Yorkshire English and part Waramungu, but 100% Territory proud. He grew up in the suburbs of Darwin, drove a car when he was 10 years old and became a cricketing legend, hitting the fastest century at the MCG only to be bested by the great Sir Vivian Richards. He’s taught at the Batchelor Institute and was a politician for 8 years before he was unceremoniously dumped by his own party for questioning the wisdom of unabated government borrowing. These days Ken is working in building indigenous housing and is making a great contribution to improving the lives of many people. This is Ken’s Territory Story.
