Description

Dr Gavin Bedford is proof that you don’t have to have great marks in high school to go on and earn a PhD. After failing his matriculation miserably, Gavin went on to earn a PhD in science, studying the differences between Darwin and Alice Springs pythons. He also has a degree in Economics, has been a bank manager and run the reptile exhibits at Crocosaurus Cove in the Darwin CBD. In short, Gavin is happiest when he’s out hunting reptiles for exhibits in the Northern Territory outback. Gavin talks about his life, growing up in Adelaide and coming to Darwin via a few outback stops and his love of reptiles. It was a fascinating discussion.
