Description

Lucio Matarazzo is a son of Italian immigrants. He was born in Darwin in the mid sixties and grew up here in the glorious 70s. He was eleven years old when Cyclone Tracy hit in December 1974. Unlike many families, his came back to Darwin after the evacuation and he has fond memories growing up in Darwin. 

After finishing high school he headed down to Adelaide and completed a Bachelor of Economics at Flinders University. After returning to Darwin in 1987 he worked for the Northern Territory Public Service for three years. In 1990 Lucio commenced his Industrial Relations career working for the Federated Clerks Union of Australia where he received his training as an industrial advocate. He spent 20 years working for the union movement before setting up his own industrial relations practice with his wife, Catherine.
