- I keep seeing things online about the "Meta-Verse" and "Seeing your world in the meta-verse". I can't see myself ever "seeing my world through" a company that regularly censors facts.
Examples? You can basically do a wildcard Google search and find endless cases that have been either archived or screenshot to show where Facebook prevents the search of topics they find "dangerous" or some bullshit they'll use to defend their censorship.What do I think about Censorship? Sure there are bat-shit crazy people out there and they're probably wrong. But, let people decide on their own to not listen to them, that's what I want, anyway. I think the real danger is a company like Facebook, aka Instagram, aka Messenger, aka WhatsApp, aka Meta.

I plugged in my gmail address that I used as my primary email address for about 15 years and found (according to their search) that 468 companies are holding some sort of data on me.You can then have the results drill down a b it and list all of those sites that "have your data" and display the date in which you joined their service. Even my MySpace account was on there.
Next, you can drill a bit deeper and then request they remove your personal data - very cool!
I recommend you going through all of the results and then only removing the ones you haven't used in a long time and don't plan on using. There are obviously going to be ones on there that you will want to keep. For instance, USPS shows up on there, because that's a site I intentionally registered for with that email address, years ago.
MINE works by scanning your email's subject lines to find companies of which they've previously studied the privacy policy of. Yes, it's companies you signed up for. So almost all of the companies that have your data are just the ones you signed up for with your email.
