Penn-Trafford and Moon have not been known in recent years as football powerhouses. Both teams were able to win their semifinals matchup as the Warriors were able to beat Pine-Richland and the Tigers were able to beat Penn Hills. Both Penn-Trafford and Moon will play each other in the WPIAL 5A Football Championship game. No matter what which team wins there will be a lot of emotion. Also, this past weekend, Mt. Lebanon defeated Central Catholic in the WPIAL 6A Championship game while Aliquippa defeated McKeesport in overtime to move on to the WPIAL 4A Championship Game.
