The enthusiasm, warmth, and passion today’s guest exudes is second to none. I am beyond thrilled you get to hear from Dr. Levester Johnson, aka LJ.
Vice President of Student Affairs when I was at Butler, in 2016 LJ moved on to Illinois State University, where he is now their Vice President of Student Affairs.
LJ is a master of connecting in person and online, and everything on his social media channels celebrates something, big or small, from a university-wide announcement at Illinois State to date night with his fiance or breakfast with his kids or a meeting with students.
Listen to his bio. It is incredible to hear how much one person can do, and he is still adding on. We can all learn from the way LJ connects with students and faculty-- even if we don’t work in education, we still interact with others on a daily basis. LJ knows the importance of making every person he encounters feel heard and accepted, and it has gone a long way. I am also inspired by how LJ has so obviously taken the time to identify his own strengths, tap into them, and remind himself of them each day.
You will walk away from this episode with actionable inspiration to put into practice indeed!
