This crossover film hit theaters in 2003 and was directed by Ronnie Yu. This film was the 8th in the “Nightmare on Elm Street” franchise and the 11th film in the “Friday the 13th” franchise. The film sees Robert Englund return as “Freddy Kruger” and is joined by Monica Keena, Jason Ritter and Kelly Rowland. In this film, after Freddy Kruger was banished to hell, he resurrects, Jason Vorhees to spread fear across Elm Street so that he can return to full power but when Jason refuses to leave, Freddy must not only kill off more teenagers, he must kill the monster he created. This film marked the end of the Robert Englund run as “Freddy” as well as the end of the original “Friday the 13th” series before both franchises were eventually rebooted in later years.
