The Houston Astros win their 2nd World Series in franchise history after defeating the Philadelphia Phillies in game 6 of the 2022 World Series. The Astros won their first championship back in 2017 after beating the LA Dodgers. They made World Series appearances in 2019 against the Washington Nationals and 2021 against the Atlanta Braves but both fell short of a win. This title win was the first in the career of manager, Dusty Baker, after 50 years in the league as former player, coach and manager.
