This sequel to the 2003 surprise hit follows our favorite pirate captain, Jack Sparrow, once again played by Johnny Depp, as he must fend off a new threat in the form “Davy Jones”, a half man half creature who commands the “Flying Dutchman” and hunts down all who fear death. Jones is played by Bill Nighy. Also retuning are Orlando Bloom, Kiera Knightly & Johnathon Pryce. Newcomers include Tom Hollander, Naomi Harris & Stellan Skarsgard. Gore Verbinski also returns as director. This film surpassed the previous film at the box office and was nominated for 4 Academy Awards, which won 1 for Best Visual Effects.
